You have to get used to how thin you need to spin your singles and just how much twist you need. My first attempts were short on yardage, too, but now I can get 350-400 yards out of 4 oz. pretty consistently.<br /><br />Interesting to hear your thoughts on the Lendrum. I have pretty long feet, but I guess not nearly as long as yours, because I have no problem with my feet fitting on the treadles!
